TITU AMARU SALQA
11TH GENERATION
AYAHUASCA HEALER

An 11th generation Peruvian Healer and Shaman, Titu Amaru Salqa brings to Reunion a deep reverence for the plant medicine Ayahuasca and a life-long dedication to helping people ignite their lives. Receiving the highest training directly from elder Shamans, his mission is to inspire everyone to lead with love.

Titu Amaru Salqa is from the direct line of “Jaukas” of the Apuchín Catalina Barrientos Ccama, Julia Calero Barrientos and Mario Calero Sánchez, and through the line of Jampeq (Healers) of Mrs. Robertina Guzmán and Ruth Díaz Guzmán.

Titu Amaru Salka is the spiritual name of the Jauka Quispicanchino-Anteño, consecrated in the thirteen sacred mountains of ancient Qosqo, and the sacred protection of Mr. De Qoyllurrit’i, Sacred Star Mountain.

Deeply rooted in science, Titu Amaru Salqa graduated from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco from the Professional School of Chemical Engineering.

Wakana, Whiteowl Medicine Woman is a multidisciplinary shaman, descended from a long line of indigenous medicine people and Appalachian folk healers. She has been working almost exclusively with Ayahuasca in ceremony for close to 15 years.

Wakana has studied herbology and spirituality for decades, has trained in various traditions, medicine lineages and modalities, including with the Shipibo and her own Cherokee and Lakota Sioux lineages, bringing to Reunion a very broad and deep scope of shamanic practice.

A BIPOC lesbian, Wakana also brings to Reunion a love of people, an ethos of kindness, compassion and inclusion, and a dedication to helping others have immense opportunities for personal growth, healing, and reuniting with their truest self that she too continues to experience through sacred plant medicine.

With an affinity for acute, chronic, and intergenerational trauma resolution, parts work and soul integration, Wakana works closely with her ancestors, earthly and celestial guides, and energies. She is a student of all and follower of none.

A mother of four, and a grandmother of two, Wakana feels blessed to share her life in service with her partner Shamanka. As a jubilant member of the Reunion team, she is honored to be serving Reunion and our commitment as a non-commodified place to ignite life!

WAKANA WHITEOWL
MEDICINE WOMAN
AYAHUASQUERA

Shaunna Morris, known as Shamanka Sonamor (which means shaman who sings with love), has spent many years exploring her deep interest in plant medicine through studies in Africa and Peru, in varying cultures and lineages, and ultimately led her to combine her education and research in service to plant medicine and ayahuasca specifically.

Shamanka brings to Reunion her extensive professional and doctoral experience and insight, years of guiding ayahuasca/plant medicine ceremonies and attending deep shamanic process, a passion and deep reverence for indigenous teachings, plant and celestial energies, quantum physics, and brain remapping.

In grateful alignment with the vision and ethos of Reunion, Shamanka is excited about helping one another expand our capacity to experience love and supporting each other in freeing ourselves from limiting beliefs so we may come home to our true selves and to even more profound and more joyful connection with each other and the natural world.

“Working with Indigenous Elders from various Indigenous lineages allows us to facilitate this work in solidarity with the original stewards of the medicines to ensure we are in reciprocity and integrity. Reunion is honored to act as an invitation for Indigenous cultures, medicines, and deep, ancestral practices to be shared with modern Western cultures through our center in Costa Rica. Our not-for-profit model allows us to facilitate this work without commodification and deeply resonates with our family of Contributors, which includes highly-skilled medicine servers, practitioners, and experienced facilitators.”

MEDICAL

  • DR. RANDALL EVANS

    DIRECTOR, MEDICAL

For over 30 years, Dr. Randall Evans was a practicing physician who spent most of his career as an Intensive Care Specialist, working with the sickest of the sick. It was early in his career when it became painfully apparent to Randall that Western medicine didn’t have nearly as many answers as he was initially led to believe. In fact, the more time he spent at patients’ bedsides, the more he realized just how few answers were known within the Western medical system.

What truly fascinated Randall were the numerous “impossible” events he witnessed as a physician. He saw patients who survived situations that should have been 100% fatal and patients who did not survive situations that, on the surface, should have been imminently survivable. Randall also sadly watched more than one patient literally will themselves to die. These events, and much more, led Randall to question almost everything he thought he knew about disease and healing. Ultimately, this questioning led him to explore, study, and work with natural psychedelics.

Randall brings to Reunion over 20 years of experience with natural psychedelics, personally and professionally. The past 10 of those years have been spent working primarily with Ayahuasca. He has been incredibly fortunate to have had opportunities to study under several Ayahuasceros and to have had a chance to complete an intensive apprenticeship working closely with Ayahuasca and several other plant medicines to deepen his relationship with them.

Randall spent years studying medicine before he considered himself to be a doctor. In his eyes, studying and learning to work with plant medicines requires the same dedication, is equally rigorous, and, in many ways, more of a challenge. He has a tremendous respect for the the wisdom and true healing gained through working with plant medicines. Randall believes working with plant medicines demands the same dedication to constant learning and maintaining the right relationship with the medicine. Other than his role as Medical Director at Reunion, he no longer practices Western medicine. All his time and energy are now dedicated to working with, studying, and sharing the wisdom and healing available through plant medicines.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

  • DR. SHAUNNA MORRIS

    PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Shaunna Morris holds a doctorate in psychology and is a licensed and published clinical psychologist.

After many years in Jungian analysis and dreamwork and a decade at UCSD with dual appointments in neuroscience and psychiatry, Shaunna closed out her academic career in neuroscience/brain research in 2005 with a sense that there was more to discover outside of the box of academia - a choice which ultimately allowed her to explore her deep interest in plant medicine through studies in Africa and Peru, in varying cultures and lineages, and ultimately led her to combine her education and research in service to plant medicine and ayahuasca specifically.

Shaunna brings to Reunion her extensive professional and doctoral experience and insight, years of guiding ayahuasca/plant medicine ceremonies and attending deep shamanic process, a passion and deep reverence for indigenous teachings, plant and celestial energies, quantum physics, and brain remapping.

In grateful alignment with the vision and ethos of Reunion, Shaunna is excited about helping one another expand our capacity to experience love and supporting each other in freeing ourselves from limiting beliefs so we may come home to our true selves and to even deeper and more joyful connection with each other and the natural world.
